Mandisa John

About

A native of New Jersey, Mandisa has lived in Philadelphia for 15 years and now calls it home. She believes her mission in education is to be who she needed growing up. After spending a decade working in Philadelphia schools, she knows students' success is determined by factors beyond the traditional classroom walls.  Mandisa has worked in a number of roles ensuring student success and access to opportunities and resources. In addition to her student advising passion, she has extensive experience in operations as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion work.

Mandisa is passionate about wellness and self expression through creative outlets, as well as connecting with people from all walks of life for deep reflection, community building,  and vision planning. The daughter of a renaissance man,  she has witnessed and believes in the power and beauty of tapping into one's true talents. Mandisa also enjoys playing and coaching basketball, watching and reviewing films, attending art performances and galleries, traveling and learning different languages.
